Frequently Asked Questions
There are so many things that most of us want to know before we start counselling or analysis. Send me an email or text me, and I will get back to you. I am happy to have a 15 minute check in with you, so that we can get a feel for one-another and decide if we want to take it further. This will give you the opportunity to ask me whatever it is you are concerned about, and I will be able to answer your specific queries and concerns. If we agree we want to explore this further, we can arrange a one off session (I charge for all sessions), and work out how we want to move forward. There is a lot to talk about in an initial session. Establishing trust and starting to work is difficult for most of us. We probably come to therapy because we have found relationships difficult and the most important use of therapy/analysis is through our relationship. I provide a secure space for you to establish trust and encourage you to work at your own pace. My experience is that working virtual can be just a rewarding and safe as working one to one. You will need to find a place in your house where you feel secure - some of my clients choose to sit in their cars to talk to me; some go for a walk and sit on a favorite bench in the park. Many miss the journey to and from my rooms. There is a time saving of course, but you miss out on that meditative journey here, the space to reflect on the session, to move yourself into the next part of our day.
